"Television's Greatest Hits" CD Series
Collection of TV show themes. Be warned though. Some of the songs taken from the original LP records were
shortened for the CD versions. A campaign should be initiated for a reworked re-release of the CD series
with all songs offered at full length.
Hanna-Barbera's "Pik-A-Nik Basket"
Classic cartoon themes and underscores
"Yogi Bear", "Huckleberry Hound", "Magilla Gorilla", "Top Cat", "The Flintstones"
"The Jetsons", "Quick Draw McGraw", "Johnny Quest", "Space Ghost"
While a joy to listen to, "Pik-A-Nik" is a little incomplete, as it is missing some 1950's material
as well as themes and underscores from the adventure shows of the late 1960s.
"Side by Side by Sondheim" (1976)
"Comedy Tonight/Love Is In the Air", "Company/Another 100 People", "Not Getting Married Today"
"You Could Drive a Person Crazy", "Can That Boy Foxtrot", "I Never Do Anything Twice",
"A Boy Like That", "Send in the Clowns", "Side by Side by Side"
Very Best of Bert Kaempfert

Perhaps someone out there knows the title, artist and source of a piece of music I heard on the March 1997 Academy
Awards (aka Oscars) presentation, as background music for the "In Memoriam" segment (introduced by actress Angela
Bassett) that salutes deceased stars and contributors. The last portion of this music is also heard at the end of
NBC's Sept 26 1999 Ryder Cup telecast.
An MP3 recording of the afore-mentioned "In Memoriam" segment (music only) is available for downloading just by
clicking on the "MP3 Recording of Music" link above. While the music plays, you'll hear intermittent applause as
the audience pays respect to the various deceased personalities.
Again, if you recognize the music and know the source, please ID that source, along with the song's title and the
artist(s) who composed and/or performed it. E-Mail and guestbook links are found at the bottom of this page.
